Drug Abuse The Silent Killer by Haris Ul Islam

Life is both vast and short, it has both ups and downs. The ups make life comfortable to live where as the downs of life make it hard and uncomfortable to live. The downs of life make the thoughts of a man depressed, everything looks in vague for him. Different people adopt different things to handle the downs of life, in which drugs is one means.

When a person misuses a drug He feels comfortable and relaxed and a person starts taking drugs because he wants to have some happiness that is why he keeps on abusing drugs which we call a drug addiction.

When a person is addicted to drugs He connects with these people who are involved in this wrongdoing and illegal work then he also gets involved in this work and gradually he gets this disease too.First he starts smoking, when a person starts smoking he feels comfortable inside, but that rest lasts only two to three minutes,Then not satisfied with smoking, he quits smoking and starts smoking marijuana,Then, as time goes on, he starts drink alcohol and along with drinking alcohol, he also becomes addicted to other drugs and he starts doing a lot of drugs at once and by doing a lot of drugs at once he loses consciousness and While intoxicated, he can commit murder, theft and other major crimes .Then he gets fed up with his life and finally either he dies on the side of the road due to a dangerous disease or he commits suicide tired of committing sins.

Now if we talk about Kashmir, these cases are increasing in Kashmir .Usually young children are suffering from this disease and The disease is spreading rapidly among the people . Poppy is commonly grown in Kashmir, and when the poppy plant is ripe The poppy growers then take out the seed in the head of the poppy plant and keep it with them and sell the head of the poppy and then the poison made from the head of the poppy plant is fed to our youth in the form of drugs. An example of this is a polythene bag because When we buy something in a polythene bag then we take this thing out of the polythene bag and throw away the polythene bag Then if that polythene bag stays in the soil, it will destroy the soil ecosystem and if we burn it, it will pollute the air. Similarly, is the head of a poisonous and dangerous poppyhead . It would be good for us if we cut him off and burnt his head But the foolish people who produce it and then sell poppy head do not know that how badly it can affect our youngester, and those who plant poppies don't know that tomorrow our children maybe aflicted with the disease, but they do not understand it.

Allah Almighty has forbidden us to drink alcohol. In our holy Quran Almighty says in Surah miada verse no.90 (O you who believe! The point is that alcohol and gambling and fortune-telling are all evil deeds, so stay away from them so that you may prosper.) Allah Almighty has told us in the Qur'an that drinking alcohol is a great sin Then why don't people understand that it is a sin ?Our prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said that to abstain from alcohol. He advised us to refrain from using alcohol in any form and in another verse in Quran,Surah Al-Nisa Verse no.43 Almighty says (0 you who believe When you are drunk, do not even approach the prayer, until you understand what you are you saying.)

"People starts taking drugs then drugs starts taking them" means When people start taking drugs people think we get happiness from it but it takes away people's happiness and in return it brings a life of sorrow.

Today, almost everyone smokes Even it is written on the cigarette packet that "Smoking Causes Cancer" . But people find it easy ,But people don't know that It can have a detrimental effect on our health. Cigarettes contain 4,000 chemicals and 200 types of poison which adversely affect physical growth. Initially at first smokes a small amount of cigarettes but later it becomes a habit and it takes the form of addiction and it does not spare a person until it kills him. cigarette are the first thing a person starts smoking after that a person starts using many drugs. An example of this is that "The drop becomes the sea", Here it means that when a person initially smokes a small amount of cigarettes and when a person repeats this habit every day Remember there also comes a time when a person smokes 20 cigarettes instead of one cigarette and uses not only cigarettes but also other drugs.

Every part of our society is being badly affected by this drug epidemic and every great person in the society is worried about how to get rid of this epidemic Because this epidemic is growing day by day. We must make every effort to eradicate this epidemic. First we have to form a group under which we will try to find the sources of drugs and eradicate them and we have to aware people about its harmful effects .Religious education should be popularized in the society. If people follow and adopt religious education, drugs can be eradicated.By preventing this epidemic, we also need to prepare parents to keep a close eye on their children so that their child does not become addicted to drugs or get involved in this epidemic.Instead of looking at those who misuse drugs with hatred, try to explain them with love and convince them of the harmful effects and harms of drug abuse.When people become aware of the dangers of this disease, then our society can get rid of this disease .We must start at our home to eradicate this curse Because first we have to see in our house that no one is involved in drugs.If we start the fight against this disease from our home then we can save the whole country from this Curse. The government should also take steps to eradicate this epidemic.

Nowadays in Kashmir liquor shops are open and people go there to drink alcohol. The government should take strict measures against it and ban it. It is such a disease Which spreads quickly from one person to another That's why young people shouldn't walk with friends who are addicted to drugs because they can also get the disease .Young people should not sit alone because the devil is more powerful in solitude . They should be engaged in other good deeds without loneliness . So, we have to do our best to eradicate this disease so that we can save our society from this epidemic.
